Newsletter
February-March, 2009
Since my last newsletter two months ago, we have a new
President.
I trust that you are praying for him whether you voted for him or not.
See 1 Timothy 2:1-4. There are many challenges that face President
Obama and the nation.
I preach in a different location every week. I see a variety of attitudes of many of God’s
people.
Some are very excited for the Lord. Others seem to have a “ho-hum” attitude. I trust that you are in that first
category.
Romans 13:11-14 Besides this you know what hour it is, how it is full time now for you
to wake from sleep.
For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed; 12 the night is far gone, the day is at hand.
Let us then cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light;13
let us conduct ourselves becomingly as in the day,
not in reveling and drunkenness, not in debauchery and licentiousness,
not in quarreling and jealousy.
14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh,
to gratify its desires. RSV
I am very excited about
2009. I know that we hear a lot of
negative news.
I know that the economy
is not doing well at all. We must
remember that God is our source. See Philippians
4:19
Notice what Isaac did when the
economy of his time was in trouble: Genesis 26:1,12 Now there was a famine in the land..
12 And
Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. The Lord blessed him. RSV
God desires to bless you and can
bless you even in these troubled times.
It is time to sow both financially
by supporting the work of God and by sowing the word of God in the hearts
of people
There has never been a more opportune time for revival than now
Revival usually doesn’t happen in times of
prosperity but in times of adversity.
When people are troubled, they began to think more about important
matters.
Their hearts become more
receptive to the gospel. So be
encouraged. God wants this to be your greatest year!
I have just returned from the
Bahamas where we had the Caribbean Apostolic World Christian Fellowship
Conference.
This was a blessed time,
with great preaching and moving of God’s Spirit.
Please pray for us! New and exciting doors are opening for our
ministry among Messianic Jews.
God bless you!
